ABOUT ME

"You live in my heart where no one sees you but I do. That vision becomes this art."

Rumi

As a mixed media artist, my work explores the layered beauty of the natural world through vibrant contrasts and nuanced textures. I aim to create pieces that invite multiple interpretations, drawing the viewer into a dynamic interplay of color, form, and meaning. Inspiration often comes from fleeting moments in nature—the glow of sunlight through trees, the vivid red of a cardinal, the shifting patterns of clouds, and the diverse shapes and textures encountered in everyday life.

My process centers on building layersripped paper revealing glimpses of hidden color, texture, or meaning beneath the surface. I use warm, harmonious color palettes to evoke balance and depth, often incorporating abstract representations of flora as symbols of life, renewal, and beauty.

I work primarily with acrylic paints, acrylic pens, paper, stencils, pencils, glitter, and various forms of ephemera. Experimentation is an integral part of my practice; I frequently explore new combinations of materials to develop innovative techniques and visual effects.

Embedded within each piece is a message of inspiration—whether a phrase or a poem—sometimes prominently featured, other times subtly hidden. I believe in the power of language to uplift and connect, and I incorporate these messages with the intention of creating a positive emotional experience for the viewer. A final touch of shimmer or shine adds an element of joy and lightness to each composition.
